Timing on C/C++
Here's two timing method on C/C++, just to remember.
1.Normal method:
#include<time.h>
...
clock_t start,finish;
double totaltime;
start=clock();
... //do sth.
finish=clock();
totaltime=(double)(finish-start)/CLOCKS_PER_SEC;
cout<<"\nThe running time for the piece of code is"<<totaltime<<"second"<<endl;
2.More accurate moethod:
#include <windows.h>
...
LARGE_INTEGER liFrequency;
LARGE_INTEGER liStart;
LARGE_INTEGER liEnd;
QueryPerformanceFrequency(&liFrequency);
QueryPerformanceCounter(&liStart);
//do........
QueryPerformanceCounter(&liEnd);
double dTime = 1000 * 1.0 / liFrequency.QuadPart * (liEnd.QuadPart - liStart.QuadPart);

To Feel The Warfare
After day and night’s downloading, I’ve finally played Call of Duty: Modern Warfare2 for a little while. Some say that this kind of game is not their favorite, but when the statistics said that this game saled more than 4.7 million in the every first sell day, who can deny such a master piece.
Before, I heard that this game was rewarded as the best PS3/XBOX360 game ever, especially for it’s graphics, so I started to worry about my old Geforce8600M on my notebook, but when I loaded in, I found this worrying unnecessary, I turned the resolution to 1280X800, and the FPS was more than 40, the default image quality was all high, then I turned on the shadow effect, the FPS dropped to about 20 in a sec~
The very beginning scene, all the comrade-in-arms.
Two men playing basketball~very leisure~
Before going to the training ground, the guide.

The first taining mission, to shoot the bad guys while leave the citizens alive, very classic.
Loading CG, inherited from COD4: Modern Warfare
The starting point of the second Mission, giving a war sense immediately.
The first job was to protect this bridge, blow the enemies away~
Get into the car, then real war time began!
Taking the machine guns to resident alley, trully “modern”~
Unfortunately, car rolled over…
The emphasis on tactics can never be too much~
Take him out! I noticed that in this game, People will sometimes twitch before they die, very impressive!
Mission completed~
The third mission, in a snow world, the FPS dropped to less than 20 when snowflakes blow…
Wanna feel this?

My Favorite Actresses

I'm almost there
Beforehand I've got conditional admissions from University of Melbourne and University of New South Welsh, now I get 7.5 on my IELTS, and the application for Australian National University is on the way, all I want to say is, C'est La Vie.
After so many torturous nights, I finally got the result it deserved to be. I was even doubting whether it was my destiny to stay with all my insults and injuries, those days were so desperate to me that I thought I wouldn't make it through. Yesterday I watched Terminator4 director's cut edition, John Connor's last line touched me: There is no fate, only what you make.
This is it, I knew that hard work was required if I want to make a great coup, but I didn't, 'cause I thought it would be easy for me, for someone like me. But I was wrong, that was the nemesis for my arrogance and dereliction which I had to pay.
Now I know that for whatever I'm doing, I have to fight until the last moment, that's the spirit. I've imparted this point to Bloodmoon, good luck to him.
"The survivors called this day the Judgement Day, but they only lived to face a new nightmare..."
Life is always uneasy, no matter under what circumstances. I've done what I was required to do, so what now?

NVIDIA written test(confidential)
3 days before, I was informed that I passed NVIDIA resume verification and I was qualified for their written exam, for the position Project Manager... even though I have been told that this position usually requires working experience , which I don't have~
This afternoon I went to Jiao Tong University to attend that test, there were so many people, applying for different positions. We all sit in one room, but different position appliers had different papers.
Here comes the Intellectual test(which I think is really easy) part of the written paper for Project Manager(by memory):
1.There are 3 boxes, labelled "APPLE", "ORANGE" and "APPLE and ORANGE" for each, but they are all labelled incorrectly. You can ask me to "pick one kind of fruit from one box" for only once, how can you correct all the labels?
2.XXX has 6 black socks and 6 white socks all mixed in one drawer, it is late and there is no light, which means she can't see anything. How many socks does she have take one time to ensure that she will get at least one pair?
3.Mary's mum has 4 children: first one is April, second one is May, third one is June, who would be the fourth one?
4.You only have a 50 gallon measurement device and a 30 gallon measurement device, who can you measure 40 gallon water precisely without using anything else?

IELTS writing practice 2
Topic :
“Prevention is better than cure.”
Out of a country’s health budget , a large proportion should be diverted from treatment to spending on health education and preventative measures.
To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?
Writting:
As the health issure is drawing more and more attention of publicity and society , many people have started to seek for methods to keep illness away rather than to cure it . Some argued whether this kind of researches or implementations are viable or worth conducting . Individually , I hold that it is much better to prevent than later to heal .
The importance of popularizing the awareness of preventing diseases is much more acknowledged in the modern society than ever . Medical specialists recommended that by avoiding to catch a cold , the ratio of the cases of this disease would be much lower ; therefore , a large amount of money can be saved . In this respect , being away from illness not only means the well-being of a person , but also indicates more profit for the company who hires him or her , which means , firms can suffer less from human resource lost in the unhealthy states of employees. Also , the ubiquitous education of health-keeping can contribute to the prosperity and strength of a nation as a whole . The H1N1 has costed billions of dollars in China , as the infect rate is 10 times to a normal cold or fever . Although seldom do people die from this , they have to pay 20000 RMB for the treatment , and the places where they live or work have to be locked , which would sometimes even cost fatally for small firm . This example can best characterize the pivotal role of preventing a disease .
Some insist the cure procedure is of more priority , even some joke that without illness , hospitals would disappear . Admittedly , in some degree , confronting an unwanted ill report sheet is inevitable----no one can be ensured to be unbreakable----thus the medical technology is imperative to lower the death incidence . However , the maintainance of health is not less essential , this can be proved by the prevailing of vaccine manufacturing . People want to keep away from horrible things as far as possible rather than addressing a problem after encounted .
In all , it is manifest that the emphasis on preventing can never be too much , and this will definitely benefit us in a variety of aspects .
